About us
I’m Diandra, owner and director of Haven Dance Academy, and this is my family!
Nathan and I have been married since 2015 and have two girls who I homeschool. This is a family calling, and you will see them around a lot!
We never thought owning a dance studio was in our future, but we trust the Lord and he has walked us right into this.
Dance has been a part of my life for over twenty years, and has had a huge impact on my life.
It began as an amazing outlet for energy, a great workout, and something that truly brought me joy and so many amazing friends. I found something that I was passionate about!
As I’ve grown and walked closer to Jesus, he has totally transformed my mind and thought process regarding dance and the arts. He restores and uses ALL things, and I love getting to know his heart in this area.
I believe that all things originated from God our Creator. He made movement, dance, and music for our good. It communicates his heart. It’s a way to “speak” truth and encouragement. It is an outlet to process emotions and hardships with him. It’s a method he can use to speak to our own hearts. It can help an audience member access feelings- like joy!
Just as our words have the power to change things, as they hold the power of life or death, so does movement. How we approach and use dance is so important to the heart of God!
I truly love getting to be a part of a student’s life. Dance offers so many opportunities to learn and grow in craft, integrity, and heart, and it’s an honor for me to watch that process in each person.
