Once, in a quiet forest home not far from the castle, a little girl named Cinderella lived with her Stepmother and Stepsisters. Though she had already lived a life full of grief and heartache, losing her mother and father, she had been sent the Fairy of Light, Illiana.

Illiana moved in beauty, often accompanied by the Cavalier or a full garden of Flowers. Her light pierced the shadows of hopelessness, moving unseen yet ever present. Her encouragement refreshed the parched places of the heart, reminding the forgotten and broken that they were beloved and not alone, that within them, too, burned a light no darkness could quench.

She carried no wand, for her gift was not in spells but in transformation. Where bitterness grew, she planted kindness. Where cruelty wounded, she poured compassion. Where fear crept in, she breathed courage.

Little Cinderella played in the forest every chance she had, and was often met by her forest friends as Iliana led her to them. The beautiful butterflies danced and played, as well as some of Cinderella’s friends from the village! When butterflies began to tease one of Cinderella’s friends, Illiana introduced Carina, the Fairy of Kindness, to encourage Cinderella to always be kind, and that kindness is a gift to give freely.

Cinderella continued to grow, often being led away from constant chores and waiting on her stepmother and sisters to the beautiful forest by Illiana. All of the forest loved her! As she was dancing with the Blue Birds, one of them was injured! Iliana introduced Mira, the Fairy of Compassion, to show Cinderella that compassion means seeing pain, softening your heart, and tending to others’ needs.

As Cinderella grew into a young woman, her chores grew endless, and the cruelty from her family grew harsher. Yet, she worked diligently, sometimes with the help (or sometimes just their silly company) of her Little Mice friends.

One day, as she was tending to her chores, the Palace Attendants arrived at her home with an invitation to a Ball hosted by the Prince! However, her terrible stepsisters and cruel stepmother teased her endlessly, and eventually discouraged her from attending the ball, making sure she did not feel worthy enough to attend.

Iliana knew that Cinderella must now learn courage and walk in the confidence of who she was created to be. She introduced her to Valeria, the Fairy of Courage, who showed her that she was worthy because of who had created her. Valeria showed Cinderella that courage is her crown, and it can be unshakable when worn well. She was clothed in a beautiful gown and sparkly ballet slippers.

Fairy Illiana provided Royal Mares and a beautiful carriage to escort her to the Ball, but warned Cinderella that she only had until Midnight to be enchanted and miraculously covered so that her stepmother and stepsisters wouldn’t recognize her, and that she MUST return before that time.

The Ball was full of joy and so much fun! The guests danced happily together, enjoying the beautiful evening.

Then… Cinderella appears at the Ball. Of course, the Prince takes notice of the beauty that shines from her. They dance with guests for a time, and then take a beautiful walk through the forest, allowing the guests to continue enjoying the party.

The Palace Attendants introduced three Princesses visiting the village to vie for the Prince’s attention. The Princesses of the lands of Liora, Anavere, and Elandria performed beautiful dances for all of the guests!

The Prince & Cinderella return to dance at the Ball and continue as the night fades and the guests begin to depart… until… Cinderella realizes the time! She is in such a hurry that she loses her shoe and rushes back to her carriage to return home.

The prince discovers Cinderella’s missing shoe and immediately begins a search to find the beautiful girl whose missing shoe it is.

Discouraged, the prince sulks. Fairy Iliana appears and guides him to find Cinderella…

Cinderella wakes up the next morning and goes about her chores, but she is still dreaming of the beautiful Ball.

The prince takes the palace attendants to the home where Iliana led him, to find Cinderella. The stepsisters can’t stand the thought and try their hardest to claim the shoe!

Alas, Cinderella is undoubtedly the girl who danced with the prince, to whom the shoe belongs.

Cinderella returns to the palace with the Prince, where the whole kingdom, including the forest friends, joins to celebrate all that Cinderella has overcome. She is now full and free to live in peace and happiness with the Prince! Thus, Cinderella’s happily ever after was never built on magic or circumstances, but on lifelong lessons of the heart being surrendered to the Light that Illiana led her to.
